In order for the doctor to “anchor” your new crown he may have to reshape excess gum and bone tissue to expose more of your natural tooth.

Crown lengthening can be used on either an individual tooth or multiple teeth. This procedure can also be used to provide a patient with teeth that are more exposed, therefore providing you with a more natural, beautiful smile.
